On Thursday 1st May 2025, residents across Hull and East Yorkshire will go to the polls to elect their first mayor for the new combined authority of Hull and East Yorkshire. 

Right across Hull and East Yorkshire, the future demands a just transition to a green economy, to make our communities fairer, greener and more resilient. The region needs a Green Mayor at the helm, to deliver the change we need. You can’t rely on other candidates.

Mayoral campaigns are hugely expensive. It costs £5,000 to pay our deposit to stand, and around another £4,500 to get our message out across the area in the official election booklet and through other communications. That’s £9,500 overall.

A strong mayoral campaign will give us a boost for future local elections, helping to break through with strong Green voices in our local council chambers.
