The Annual General Meeting of the Hull & East Riding Green Party will take place in the Welcome Room, Toll Gavel Church, 27 Toll Gavel, Beverley HU17 9AA; on Wednesday January 24^th 2024. All H&ERGP members are welcome and encouraged to attend. The draft agenda is below. There will be an opportunity after the AGM to address urgent business and so if you want to add anything to that section then please reply to this email.

This is a critical event as many of the existing officers are standing down. We need people to put themselves forward for a range of roles including: Coordinator, Party Secretary, Treasurer, Campaigns Manager and Officers responsible for Communications, Fund Raising and Policy. These roles are not onerous and a fresh perspective is often an advantage. If you are interested then please respond to this email.

Before the business of the AGM, we have a presentation by Adam Hawley, the Coordinator of Hull Flatpack Democracy. Adam was instrumental in setting up the Hull Delivery Co-op, operating ecargobike deliveries across West Hull. He will talk about Flatpack Democracy and its plans to transform Hull City Council to become more resident focussed.

The coming year is a big one for us. There are by-elections in the ERY in the new year, Police and Crime commissioner election in both Hull and ERY in May along with local elections in Hull, a general election sometime before January 2025 and possible mayor election in May 2025. We need to be loud and relevant, and we need active participation from members to achieve this.
