The Party is planning for two big elections: for Police and Crime Commissioner in May 2024 and East Yorkshire Mayor in May 2025. We are looking for nominations for candidates for each of these roles, and possibly the same candidate for both elections.

Green PCC candidates have often polled better than candidates in other elections. They can put a higher emphasis on policing for minorities, protests and for vulnerable people. No experience of being employed within the police is necessary.

Devolution of Hull and the East Riding may not go ahead after the public consultation in January, but we want to be prepared. We need a credible candidate for this major role.
