Time is running out for stroke survivors in Kingston upon Hull West and Hessle, says Mike Lammiman the Green Party candidate.
"The current national stroke strategy comes to an end in December 2017.
"As part of my promise to the constituents and the 1,781 stroke survivors living in Kingston upon Hull West and Hessle, I pledge my support for a new national plan for stroke treatment and care in England.
"
The national Stroke Association says that 45% of stroke survivors feel abandoned after leaving hospital.
"I want to see an end to the unequal access to basic stroke treatment and support around the
country so the people of Kingston upon Hull West and Hessle get the highest standards of care.
"The number of people having strokes in the UK is set to rise. A cost effective national plan is urgently needed to make improvements possible.
"Join me in calling for a new era for stroke victims."
