Green Party Leader endorses local mayoral candidate, Kerry Harrison

Green Party Co-leader Adrian Ramsay has endorsed his party’s local Mayoral candidate, Kerry Harrison. Kerry will be standing for the Green Party in the Mayoral election for the new combined authority of Hull and East Yorkshire to be held on 1 May 2025.

Adrian stands on the left. He is standing outside, wearing a blue suit and a shirt, and smiling. Kerry stands on the right. She is wearing a grey cardigan, a flowery dress and glasses, and is also smiling.

Adrian Ramsay, Co-leader of the Green Party of England and Wales, said:

‘I met Kerry in Beverley last year and I was impressed by her sense of public duty and her ambition for local communities. She will make an excellent Mayor.

‘This is the first mayoral election in this area and it’s an opportunity for a fresh look at the way politics is done here. We want to offer a positive, progressive plan that gives a fresh start for local communities. This is not the time for recycled politicians and the reheated policies of failure.

“Following the record breaking success of the Green Party in the General Election last year we are ambitious across all parts of the country and Hull and East Yorkshire is part of that ambition.”
